Commonly known as the Nematanthus, this slow-growing plant is native to Southern Mexico, Brazil, and Costa Rica. With its breathtaking deep green, tiny, glossy leaves, and contrasting red/orange flowers and purple undersides, this plant will bring some forest vibes to your space!
Being that it’s from a subtropical environment, it thrives in warm temperatures, drier soil, moderate to high humidity, indirect bright light and will grow up to 2 to 3 ft indoors. This makes them great to hang in a brightly lit room near a window! You could even hang them from your window curtain rack!
Over time this plant may lose some leaves, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant’s life cycle.
